Q-5-48 — Book Requested for a Page Outside the Book
The whole book was requested, but the named page is not a chapter of it.
What this means
book-scope: book was requested for this render (for example with
-M book-scope:book), and the page you named is in the project but is not in
book.chapters. A page that is not a chapter cannot be rendered as part of
the book, so it was rendered on its own instead, with its own numbering and
without links to the book’s chapters.
If the same page is named without asking for the whole book, you get the
informational notice Q-5-41 instead.
How to fix
If the page belongs in the book, list it:
book:
chapters:
- index.qmd
- notes.qmdOtherwise drop -M book-scope:book.
