Q-13-12 — Unknown repository action

A repo-actions entry names an action Quarto does not recognize. The supported actions are edit, source, and issue; none clears the list. The unrecognized entry is skipped and the remaining actions still render.

What this means

repo-actions accepts a fixed set of names:

action link
edit “Edit this page” — opens the source file in the host’s web editor
source “View source” — opens the source file for reading
issue “Report an issue” — opens the issue tracker

none is also accepted and clears the list. Anything else is skipped with this message; the entries Quarto does recognize still render.

Why this happens

Common causes:

  • A typo — sources, edits, issues.
  • A guessed action name for something Quarto does not offer, such as star, fork, or history.

How to fix

Use only the supported names:

website:
  repo-url: https://github.com/owner/repo
  repo-actions: [edit, source, issue]

To turn the links off for the whole site, use none or remove the key:

website:
  repo-actions: none
