Q-25-6 — Invalid component option value

A component’s bind is not #id or .class, or its content is not dom, ast or none. The entry is skipped.

What this means

Two options take a fixed vocabulary. bind is a selector of exactly one of two forms, #id or .class; content chooses how the element’s content reaches the component: dom (the default: the rendered markup is handed back as children), ast (the node’s Pandoc AST is attached as JSON and arrives as node), or none. Any other value is this warning, and the entry is skipped.

Why this happens

  • bind: is a general CSS selector (div.card, #a > p), which is not supported: bindings are resolved on the document tree at render time, where only ids and classes are known.
  • bind: has a space or a second #/. in it.
  • content: is misspelled or capitalized.

How to fix

Write bind: "#some-id" (quoted, since # starts a YAML comment) or bind: .some-class, and one of content: dom, content: ast, content: none.
