Q-25-3 — npm component sources are not supported yet

A component’s src is an npm: package specifier. Only project files are supported for now; the entry is skipped.

What this means

src: npm:<package>@<version> is reserved for loading a published component through the page’s import map. That route is not built yet (it is deferred in the design, pending a way to vendor the package into the output), so Quarto warns and skips the entry.

Why this happens

  • The entry uses the npm: prefix.

How to fix

Copy or build the component into a file in the project and point src: at it. Keep the npm: line out until the feature lands.
