A website.announcement option has a value Quarto does not recognize. The default is used and the banner still renders.

What this means

Two announcement options accept a fixed set of values:

option values default
type primary, secondary, success, danger, warning, info, light, dark primary
position above-navbar, below-navbar above-navbar

type selects the banner’s colors (the matching Bootstrap alert style); position places the banner before or after the navbar. Any other value is replaced by the default, and this warning names the option and the value.

Why this happens

  • A typo — warn, error, below.
  • A color name in type, such as yellow or red. Pick the alert style with that color instead (warning, danger).

How to fix

Use one of the values in the table above, or remove the option to get the default.
